I'm also keeping and breeding xiphophorus pygmaeus. It's a very small swordtail. I keep the golden version.
Not all males will develop a sword. And those which will develop a sword won't develop such a long sword as most swordtails will.

I keep my dwarf swordtails together with my red chest endlers. It's the perfect harmony between them.

Dwarf Xiphophorus Swordtail are nice and easy to maintain .. I had them before.. All my males developed small swords .They were not true gold but a blond wild type body color ..
